These terms cover your use of malrashid.com, including the tools. By using the site, you agree to them.
The site
This is my personal site. It's free to read and use. The views here are my own and don't represent my employer.
The tools
The tools are provided for learning and for legitimate security work. Use them only on data and systems you're authorized to handle.
Results can be wrong or incomplete, especially when they depend on outside data. Check them before you act on them, and don't rely on them alone for decisions that matter.
Acceptable use
- Don't attack, overload, or try to break into this site or the services it relies on.
- Don't use the contact form to send spam, malware, or anything unlawful.
- If you find a security problem, please report it through the contact listed in security.txt instead of exploiting it.
Content and licenses
My writing and the site's design are © Mohammed Alrashid. You're welcome to quote short excerpts with credit and a link.
Third-party work keeps its own license: CyberChef is by GCHQ and its contributors under the Apache 2.0 license, and passphrases use the EFF Large Wordlist under CC BY 3.0. Data shown by the lookup tools belongs to its providers (NVD, FIRST, the domain and IP registries, and Team Cymru) and is subject to their terms. This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.
Outside services
Some tools depend on services I don't control. They may be slow, limited, or unavailable, and their terms apply when you use them.
No warranty
The site and the tools are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using them.
Changes
I may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site means you accept it.
